This is a quality art print produced by me in my home studio. The painting was done with watercolors of the the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR
The Story:
This festival is a yearly tradition for me to go and enjoy the rows of colorful tulips. This was the first time I brought my painting supplies though, surprised to see no rain in the forecast, I jumped at the chance. By the time I got all the way up to Woodburn, I realized rain may join the party but it was very sparce and seemed to be letting up. After walking around the whole festival, I found this perfect spot to highlight the windmill while acknowledging the beautiful tulips and distant trees. About 5 minutes into the painting, it started to rain. Luckily I grabbed a photo at the start, although I had to pack up and find a covered area to paint (see the postcard), I was able to go back and capture the brief moment later on
