About Me
I am Grace, an Oregon based watercolor artist.
My artistic journey has been all around. Throughout high school and college, my work leaned more illustrative. I got an associates degree in Art and Design with an emphasis in Illustration that gave me a great foundation of almost all mediums and design concepts but geared towards the storytelling and illustrative aspect of creating.
After college, I was unsure of how I wanted to continue my artistic path but I knew I needed to first learn to exist in the real world and find out who I was and where I wanted to be. I put art on the back burner to build a life and understand of the world outside of school. After a couple years creating for myself and loved ones in the time found outside of my job, I was reminded of the peace and joy I get from art. As a naturally anxious person, I found that the only time my brain was still was when I was out in nature, creating. In 2024, I leaned into painting plein-air (“open air” at the location) and haven’t stopped. January of 2025 I took the leap and started displaying my work in galleries, selling at markets, and teaching classes full time. The best part is that I am able to appreciate the beautiful landscapes we live in and connect with others through my art.
