This is a quality postcard/art print, designed by me and printed locally. The painting was done with watercolors en plein-air, aka on location, at the yearly tulip festival at Woodenshoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, OR.
The Story:
A visit to the Woodenshoe Tulip Festival as a yearly tradition and has been since I’ve moved to Oregon. The field of bright tulip rows paired with the beautiful windmills and brightly painted wooden shoes scattered around the area, there were so many spots to choose from to paint. I originally setup in the perfect manner to frame the iconic red windmill front and center, but the weather had other plans for me. I had to pack up and move to a spot under a covering near where the wooden shoe makers had their demonstration tent. I love getting to capture a different perspective of the lovely farm and getting the chance to meet the people who make and decorate all the wooden shoes around!
