This is a quality postcard/art print, designed by me and printed locally. The painting was done with watercolors en plein-air, aka on location, along the Riverfront trail in Portland, OR.
The Story:
This painting is what inspired the whole collection at the end of the day. The contrast of dark branches in contrast with the delicate pastel pink blossoms was the most magnetic subject. Walking down the sidewalk, its very evident that many people had this on their list of stops while in bloom. I found a perfect spot to setup after lugging all my supplies on the train from Eugene and got to work. This was the perfect day, getting to see people of all ages there to capture whatever stage of life they were in while appreciating the overwhelming beauty of my subject.
