The Story:
This painting was done while staying on the Yachats coast with my family. Having woken up early one morning, I saw my chance to paint the waves as they rolled in. There were very large windows at the place we were staying so I was luckily able to paint in the comfort of the warmth and spend all my time trying to memorize the shapes of the waves before they change and capture them on the page. A real challenge in the watercolor world, but the most captivating experience.
