A yEAR OF OREGON - 2026 cALENDAR
A dream of mine since before I even started my business or even discovered my love of watercolor painting, was to create a calendar with my art. I wanted to make something that could be incorporated into the day to day life of myself and those I care about, to have a piece of art that appreciates and embraces the passing of the seasons and can inspire you to do the same every day. This year, I jumped at the opportunity I had to not only fulfill this dream but create a collection of work that demonstrates the work I have put into my craft over the last year and highlights all the ways I have grown more intertwined with my environment and community.
There are two paintings that were done plein-air of this collection that were a part of the same event I did in 2024 that gave me the push to start sharing my work. The perspective I went into it this year was night and day. I was far more excited to jump in and ambitious in the subjects I would paint. The hurdles I had to jump through my first year, were barely even thoughts this time around but naturally I have new hurdles to jump over still.
All the other paintings of my collection are from photographs I have taken over the past 2 years, waiting to feel comfortable in my abilities to do justice with my paints. Each location has a story and/or a meaning and being able to encapsulate those and my journey over the years makes this the collection I am most proud of to this point. I cannot wait to see what 2026 will bring and how much I will learn. Thank you for joining this journey with me!
